Barbara Deitz

Barbara Deitz, 84, of Carthage, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at her home in Carthage. Barbara was born on June 26, 1937 to Blanche Gregory in Carthage. Barbara worked in real estate for 40 plus years, most recently for Charles Burt Home Folks before her retirement. She was a volunteer at Camp Quality and involved in tennis, softball, and volleyball. She was a member of the Budlong Christian Church and currently a member of Fairview Christian Church. Barbara was united in marriage to Robert A. Deitz on July 1, 1957 at the Budlong Christian Church in Carthage; he preceded her in death on September 5, 2018. Barbara is survived by her children, Cindy Etris (Dean) of Joplin, Allen Deitz (Wendy) of Carthage, and Liliana Cano of Carthage; one brother in law, Jerry Deitz of Tulsa; seven grandchildren, Geremy Etris, Joshua Etris (Meggie), Shelby Anderjaska (Chad), Amelia Guinn, Hayden Guinn, Luisa Castaneda, and Jose Castaneda; three great-grandchildren, Nova Etris, Maverick Etris, and Austen Anderjaska. Along with her husband Robert, Barbara is preceded in death by her mom Blanche Gregory; a brother Junior Gregory; and her sisters Gladys Herrell and Racheal Johnson. A graveside service will be held for Barbara at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
