Rouan Southard

Rouan Southard, 89, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at her home in Webb City, Missouri. Rouan was born January 17, 1933 in Carthage, Missouri to Edward Clellen Sherrill and Ada Hazel Morris. Rouan was a longtime Jasper County Missouri resident. Rouan enjoyed taking care of her family and actively worked the politiacal polls for several years. She attended the Carthage Family Worship Center located in Carthage, Missouri. Rouan was united in marriage to Lonnie F. Southard on September 12, 1953 in Carthage, Missouri. Rouan is survived by her husband, Lonnie Southard; five children, Lonnie Royce Southard, Michael Dennis Southard and his wife, Gayla, Lanita Renee Southard, Gary Ray Southard and his wife, Bobbie, and Susan Kay Lowery and her husband, Charles; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Ileene Sherrill. Rouan is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ada Sherrill; two brothers, Ed Sherrill and Royce Sherrill; and two sisters, Helen Long and Ruth Sherrill. Rouan, Royce and Ruth were triplets. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2022 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
